In debating candies, you must decide which candies are tastiest and most presentable. In the Valentine’s Day candy aisle of the local Rite Aid, it actually ended up a no-brainer: heart-shaped York peppermint patties.

The Valentine’s patties are shaped like hearts. As a man this sounds silly but for the purpose of the holiday it works. The package is reflective which is fairly unique and kind of gives that icy/minty vibe. The proportion of dark chocolate to mint is perfect. It not quite melts in your mouth.

I also like that it’s not as heavy as regular candy bars. You get a little sugar rush. The mint taste is refreshing. It’s one of the only candies that leave you wanting more.

This is a reminder to add Peppermint Patties to the top of mind list for candies I like.
