Utz Kettle Classics Sweet Potato Chips

Utz Sweet Potato chips are a welcome addition to my snacking arsenal. They’re kettle cooked which seems practically mandatory for all chips these days. It’s a trend I can get behind. They have a pleasant crunch but not as much crunch as kettle cooked potato chips. The sweetness from the sweet potato provides a perfect contrast to the salt on the chips. Like many good things, they’re dangerously addictive. It’s worth noting that these chips are also gluten free.

They’re a great alternative to regular boring potato chips. This is another successful snack product from Utz, which per Wikipedia is “the largest independent privately held snack brand in the U.S.” They like Real Deal Veggie chips are based out of Pennsylvania.

The salt on the chips, like Old Bay is quite heavy which means a few go a long way. The celery seed and black pepper really come through. These chips aren’t bad, but go in with expectation that they will be salty. Another Utz review can be found here. […]
