At Cornell University they’ve recently bred two new varieties of wine grapes. The current names are NY76.0844.24 and NY95.0301.01. Not terribly catchy. One is a white, the other a dark red. They’re asking people to submit names for these new varieties. Today is the last day to do so. You can send your name suggestions to bruce.reisch@cornell.edu. The winning name will be announced in February at the Viticulture Conference in Rochester.
