Mi-Del Gluten Free Arrowroot Cookies Review (Animal Crackers!)

Animal Crackers!

Animal Crackers!

The Mi-Del Arrowroot gluten free cookies would certainly fool most into thinking they’re regular flour. In fact, their tagline is “Gluten Free Cookies That Taste Like Cookies.” The flours included are corn, soy, potato rice and of course arrowroot. They taste crunchy and give off a whiff of vanilla. They’re like a fresher version of old school animal crackers. Speaking of which, the bag houses several fun animal shapes including camel, bison, elephant, and bear making this very kid and awesome adult friendly.

There is a certain charm to Mi-Del’s packaging. They opt for the lunch bag, sack-o-cookies look rather than a box with plastic tray inside. It’s less wasteful and with 8oz, you can fill the cookie jar up. These were purchased on sale for $3.19 at LifeThyme Natural Market. Other gluten free flavors include chocolate caramel, chocolate chip, cinnamon snap, ginger snap and pecan cookies. Their GF line is easily distinguished because they’re labeled on front and come in a blue bordered bag. I’ll definitely try additional products from this company and report back. 1. I LOVE their gluten-free ginger snaps. Not the healthiest snack, but I put vanilla frosting in between two of them. They remind me of NON-gluten free Newman’s Own Ginger-O’s.

  2. I can’t wait to try the ginger snaps. Thanks for the recommendation. So far, Mi-Del or Tree of Life are my favorite GF cookies. Have you tried Tree of Life? https://roodonfood.wordpress.com/2012/09/24/tree-of-life-gluten-free-chocolate-chip-cookies-review/
