New York City Mayoral Election: It All Comes Down to Cupcakes

Post Vote Cupcakes

Post Vote Cupcakes

Congratulations to soon to be Mayor Bill De Blasio of New York City. Yesterday the city had it’s election and overwhelmingly voted for the democratic candidate – the first in 20 years.

I always found voting to be a fun activity. There is an excitement in the air, particularly when an incumbent is leaving office, in this case, Mike Bloomberg. And if taking part in the democratic process isn’t incentive enough to come out, there are always cupcakes. The school I vote at always has a bake sale. Pictured at $1 each are a delicious carrot cake cupcake and banana bread. I’m not ashamed to admit that I went back for a second cupcake (though not a second vote)
