Lesser Evil’s Super 4 reads like a who’s who of SEO terms/hot foods right now, featuring quinoa, lentil, chia and white bean. The full description is “Superfood Alkaline Crunchy White Bean Bites” which to me reads like a title for a psychedelic album. Most snacks will feature one or two icons such as gluten free and kosher. Super 4, though lists out 12, count ’em 12 superlatives including all natural, gluten free, low glycemic, kosher, corn free, fiber, no msg, baked, non-gmo, “empty calorie free”, nothing artificial, and no milk hormones. Also this snack features 11% fiber, omega 3s and no refined sugar (sweetened with cane juice).
This is the first rigatoni shaped snack I’ve seen to date. Hopefully it’s not the last. They’re satisfyingly crunchy which wasn’t unexpected. The tubular snacks are just a touch sweet with an oddly creamy taste from the white bean powder. The overall flavor is a touch ketchup-y, odd because tomato powder is far down the list of ingredients. I appreciate that all of the ingredients are recognizable.
Verdict: Super 4 (White Bean, Quinoa, Lentil, and Chia) come together like Voltron to create a very tasty snack.
Thank you for the review! We appreciate the love! Keep a look out for the Buddha!
