Making everything from scratch is almost always better but every now and again it’s important to let yourself cheat. Pizza crusts are one of the most time consuming meals you can make so I was thrilled to find Udi’s Gluten Free Thin & Crispy crust for only $0.99 (2 pieces) at my local store (regular price $4.99-$6.99).
They’re 9 inch in diameter, perfect for personal pizzas. On top I made a marinara sauce and added cheese and pepperoni. We baked for about 10 minutes at 375. We checked once to see if it browned. Tapioca starch and brown rice make up the flours so it’s not surprising that the flavor is neutral. This is a good thing because the toppings are able to be the highlight while the crust nice chewy texture with a little crunch. It’s denser than regular pizza crust but as the carrier of sauce and toppings, it works out fantastic. For $5, I’d consider splurging again.
