“Nothing goes better with books than cereal” – George Washington
Life is sometimes about the simple pleasures. On Friday, I did my weekly run to the library, leaving with 7, count ’em, 7 books. Excited for the weekend, I strolled over to Life Thyme Market. Normally it isn’t hard to steer clear of chocolate cereals but it was on sale for $3.19 and clearly goes great with books.
This box of Mom’s Best Cereal Crispy Cocoa Rice contains no high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oil and is comprised entirely of rainbows (one of these statements is a lie). Also worth noting: They purchase wind energy credits to offset electricity used to make their products.
The first thing I noticed is that 17.5 ounces is quite a bit of cereal. The cocoa aroma hits your nose immediately. The crunch is solid, but gets that nice semi-softness after a few seconds in milk. The best part of course, is the leftover chocolate milk. I will absolutely get this cereal again, though not on a weekly basis. I’m curious to try more.
