Some time ago I posted about Enjoy Life’s soft baked cookies. The local Pathmark features an extensive gluten free selection including a half-dozen types from this allergen friendly company. These Crunchy Double Chocolate cookies come 14 to a box. On sale they were $3 (regular price, $4.50-$6).

The chocolate aroma is apparent as soon as you open the box. The crunch is respectable, probably falling somewhere around a 7 on a scale of 10. Unlike many non-GF cookies which taste very processed, these have a certain home-made lightness. The biscuits are studded with chips. I strongly suggest dipping these in coffee for added tastiness. Enjoy Life products are gluten, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, soy, fish and shellfish free.
